Refund policy

Returns & Refunds Policy

At Weft Theory, we want you to be confident in your purchase. Our returns and refunds are handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.

Online Orders and Change of Mind

Where the statutory cooling-off period under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, customers may cancel an eligible online purchase within 7 days of receiving the goods.

The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising this cooling-off right.

Specially Personalised Orders

Products that have been made, altered or clearly personalised to a customer’s specifications may not qualify for the statutory cooling-off period.

Where custom shade matching involves a product being specifically altered or personalised for you, we will make this clear before the order is finalised.

Hair Extensions

For voluntary returns outside of any statutory rights, hair extensions must be unused, unworn, uninstalled and in their original condition and packaging.

Hair that has been cut, coloured, chemically treated, installed or otherwise altered cannot be accepted as a voluntary return.

This does not limit any rights you may have if the product is defective, unsafe or does not meet the standards required by South African consumer law.

Tools and Accessories

Eligible tools and accessories should be returned unused and in their original condition and packaging unless the return relates to a defect.

Incorrect or Damaged Orders

Please contact Weft Theory as soon as possible if you receive the incorrect item or if your order arrives damaged.

We may request photographs or other information so that we can assess the issue and assist you.

Defective Goods

South African consumers have statutory rights relating to defective, unsafe or poor-quality goods.

Where applicable under the Consumer Protection Act, defective goods may be returned within six months of delivery, and the customer may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method where possible.

Processing times may vary depending on the bank or payment provider.

Return Shipping

Where a return is made because an item is defective, incorrect or otherwise subject to a statutory remedy, return costs will be handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.

For eligible change-of-mind returns under the ECTA cooling-off period, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
